Welcome to our Kids Congress 2006 blog site. Here we intend to express and explore 21st century issues that are important to us and also to challenge you to contribute to our conversations.
Over the last six months we have discussed and clarified with our classmates issues that we feel are important and have come up with the following key strands:
* Physical Health
* Human Rights
* Emotion Health
* Animal Rights
* Safety/Water (local issues)
* Environmental Issues
These strands each have their own blog page which can be accessed via the menu on the right-hand side, along with links to other relevant information.
Kids Congress 2006, to be hosted at Challenge Ranch, is a unique event for approximately 120 Year 5 students from schools in the Diocese of Broken Bay, Sydney, Australia.
Kids Congress 2006 provides 21st century students with access to 21st century learning environments to explore 21st century issues.
Kids Congress 2006 has been “designed for kids and organised by kids.”
