I think that the man in the video has got it all wrong.
Animals have rights, but they are limited, just like ours.
They should have most of the rights that we have, and others that as humans we are unable to receive, basically because we’re humans.
Animals and people are different in so many ways, but I think we both feel emotions, and some people don’t take an animal’s feelings to heart.

i agree with mary i think all animals have rights and should be treated the same as humans because we are all living creatures and all gods creations and why be horibal to animals because they are so cute aspecel rabbits but that is just my opinion so go ahead and think what you want to think. ok .

I agree with Mary. Animals are living things and then they desevethr rights that we have. A another reason why is the next generation will not be able to see animals.
I agree with all the people that are against animal abuse and cruelty because animals do have rights and should be treated like human beings.

Another argument i have is animal testing could you imageine all the stress and the pain that the humans put all those animals through .
what would happen if the animals had revenge on us taking all those tests and sleeping in a cage that is small and hard and metal .
How would you feel if they took you away from your parents and they took lots of tests on you then they returned you and you were sick and all different and you had lost your eye or you are dying on the spot and theres nothing that you can do about it . ihope i have made you think about what you believe in becase really it seems like you dont care and your wasting your life not caring about anything other than people you know or yourself we need to change these things NOW

I believe strongly that animals has heaps of rights, not as many as humans(so they won’t ‘rule’ the streets) but the right of a good habitat, food, and to not be seperated from their parents and their natural habitat, half the world for them, half for us.

I agree with Mary and anyone else who agrees with Mary because are living things with feelings and thoughts.Even if they can be annoying sometimes they are a big part of our world and I know that I couldn’t imagine a world without animals in so we have to take care of what we have.
I agree and disagree. I agree that animals should SOME rights. But we are allowd to interferr if they are using there rights against us. SOME rights i think are allowd but we should not be cruel to them like shaving for fur or leather or slaghtering for food!

i agree wth mary and with paul. Animals should have rights but people are more important. We are higher than the plants and animals, we comr first.But then again, anmals should have rights because they are living creatures like us.

I agree with Mykayla that YES animals should have some rights BUT humans are higher and we do come first, though as I said before animals should have some rights, e.g. they should be able to live their life happily just like human beings, because they are Living creatures just like us!

As Mary said that animals are living creatures just like us but some can be very dangereous to us and it is sad to hear that people have died becaise of the aniamls. I believe that the animals how can not hurt us in any way those animals can have their own rights.
As, animals ourselves, we have rights ad so should others. It is disgraceful that they are treated badly, and, seeing some of these comments make me sick. Why shouldnt they? They have feelings too, just like us!

Yeah, I agree. Eating meat is the equivalent of eating a small child. Taking your dog for a walk is the equivalent of taking your child to the park. Riding a horse is equivalent to riding a child. Keeping your dog on a leash is the equivalent of keeping your kid on a leash. Keeping your dog at home by himself is the equivalent of leaving a 4-year old by himself. Having a K9 sniffing out coke is the equivalent of a 4-year old sniffing out coke. Putting your dog to sleep is the moral equivalent of putting your child to sleep. Hunting animals is equivalent of hunting children. Oh wait a second….
“Imagine if animals had rights like us humans,” are you serious? We should give animals the right to vote, drive, work, drink alcohol, pay taxes, serve in the army, etc? To have rights, you have to KNOW you have rights. Animals wouldn’t know nor do they care about RIGHTS. So how is it even a remotely intelligent to suggest that animals should have rights like humans do?

I am a big supporter of animal rights! I think we have a duty to protect and promote healthy, happy lives for all living beings. I have loved seeing some of the posters that children have done in a recent animal rights poster competition run by Adventurebox – http://www.bayard-magazines.co.uk/gammebox/design_a_poster/adventure_dessins.jsp – to me this shows that these concerns are very important to young people today too, and hopefully we can work peacefully in the future to help improve animal rights across the world.
